Blackberry Smoke

Blackberry Smoke is a Southern rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, that began to take shape in 2000. The group incorporates Southern rock into their music as well as elements of country rock, blues rock and a jam band music style. The band consists of Charlie Starr on lead vocals and guitar, Paul Jackson on guitar, bassist Richard Turner, Brandon Still on keyboards and Kent Aberle on drums.

The group released their first single "One Horse Town" in 2009, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Bluegrass chart. Other successful songs by the group include "Ain't Much Left of Me," as well as songs from their albums Holding All the Roses, and Like an Arrow. The former album reached No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart in 2015, and the latter also reached No. 1 on the same chart in 2016.

The group has toured as the opening act for ZZ Top and legendary Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. The band was given its name by The Black Crowes' Chris Robinson. The group has a deep Southern rock heritage. They have been the first independent artist to hit #1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart with Holding All the Roses in 2015. The album like an arrow shot back to #1 on the same chart in 2016.
